UK firms face financial stress
Nearly 200,000 UK firms are facing financial difficulty in the recession with the manufacturing and wholesale sectors hit hardest.
396 manufacturers had critical problems in the second quarter and 331 wholesale businesses. This represented a rise of 140 per cent and 185 per cent respectively on the previous quarter.
